Unetwork App Task

Scout & Runner

Scout and Runner are paired connectivity roles. Scouts test and discover routes; Runners revisit known routes to confirm that they remain available and useful over time.

In beta testing

Why it matters

Build a living map of telecom connectivity

Routes can change because of congestion, equipment changes, and carrier policies. Repeated checks from real devices help keep a distributed view of route availability and quality current.

Operator requirements

  • An active Unetwork App license
  • Acceptance into an available beta role
  • A compatible physical phone
  • A dedicated SIM or eSIM with suitable call credit

How it works

From opt-in to completion

01

Apply for a role

Opt in when Scout or Runner access opens and accept the current participation rules.

02

Complete onboarding

Review the task instructions, reporting requirements, and activity that must be avoided.

03

Prepare your calling setup

Use an eligible phone and a SIM plan capable of reaching assigned destinations.

04

Test and report

Follow each assignment precisely and submit the connection and quality result requested.

Good to know

Before you participate

  • Scout searches for routes that have not yet been verified; Runner rechecks previously discovered routes.
  • This task can involve call-plan costs and more hands-on participation than standard background tasks.
  • Capacity, reimbursement terms, rewards, and role availability can change during beta.

Task availability and rewards are not guaranteed. Current in-app instructions and program terms take priority because eligibility, demand, and beta rules can change.
